Michael Allen Stocker

Michael Allen Stocker, 61, of German Valley, died Monday, December 12, 2016 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Michael was born September 30, 1955 in Freeport the son of Cleo and Dorla (Fullerton) Stocker. He married Cynthia Richardson on July 9, 1994 in Oregon, Illinois. He worked for over 30 years as a diesel mechanic at CIT- Rockford Truck Sales. Michael was a member of the Indian Fantail Club of America and the Pigeon Association. His favorite times were spent with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Michael was an avid Chicago Bears fan and he enjoyed singing karaoke. Surviving are his wife, Cynthia Stocker of German Valley; son, Thomas Broadway (Lindsey Modlinger) of Forreston; three daughters, Jessica Maloney of Winnebago, Cally McNeely of Rockford and Kristen Broadway (Earl Mohme) of Forreston; three brothers, Carl Stocker, Richard (Wanda) Stocker, and Steve (Deb) Stocker; grandchildren, Jesse Stricker, Skyler Diestelmeier, Tyler Broadway, Owen and Hayden Cagley, Chase and Daniel Broadway and Samantha Maloney; mother and father -in-laws, Virgil and Beverly Richardson of Oregon, IL.; also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jim, Dave, and Danny; and sister-in-law, Jean. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 17, 2016 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston. Rev. William Heck will officiate. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Friday December 16, 2016 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Forreston. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
