Michael Alan Stykel

Michael Alan Stykel, 63, of Rockford, IL passed away unexpectedy on Friday August 25, 2023 at his residence. He was born on July 30, 1960 in Freeport, IL to Marvin and Birdine (Ingold) Stykel. He was a 1978 graduate of Forreston High School and attended Highland Community College.

Michael was self-employed as a carpenter, and was also employed as a loader of UPS freight at the Rockford Airport. Mike was a Bear fan and enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his sister Lori (Mike) Jones of Texas, and two brothers Scott (Linda) Stykel and Darin (Jess) Stykel, both of Freeport; as well as three nieces and three nephews, and four grand-nieces and one grand-nephew.

Micheal was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Cremation rites have been accorded. No visitation or memorial services are planned. Celebration of Life ceremony will be announced at a future date.
