Michael A. Runte

Michael A. Runte, 50, of Freeport, died Thursday April 21, 2016 at FHN Memorial Hospital. He was born December 11, 1965 in Freeport, Il, the son of Gerald and Patricia (Libby) Runte. He married Terri Barker September 10, 1988. Michael was a farmer. He enjoyed mowing, fishing, the outdoors, and especially spending time with his family, friends, and dogs. Michael is survived by his wife Terri Runte of Freeport, IL; daughter Brandy (Doug) Quinn of Freeport, IL; brother Dan (Mindy) Runte of St. Louis, MO; one sister Tricia (Roger) Truckenmiller of Jenison, MI; granddaughter McKinley Quinn; and his dogs Brody, Ivy, and Tank. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and his brother Bob Runte. A celebration of life will be held Saturday June 11, 2016 at the Rock Hollow Hunting Club from 1:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.
