Melissa "Missy" L. Wichman

Melissa 'Missy' L. Wichman, 41, of Rockford, died Monday, April 11, 2011 at UW Hospital in Madison. She was born January 31, 1970 in Freeport the daughter of Roger L. and Sharon (McNeil) Wichman. She attended Baileyville Reformed Church. Melissa worked as an office manager in Rockford. She was an avid Chicago White Sox fan and enjoyed watching Nascar, she also liked to sing. Melissa was a former Miss Freeport in 1990. Her son Patrick was the most important part of her life. Thanks to Melissa'™s organ donation three more people will have a chance to survive. Survivors include her son, Patrick of Rockford, two brothers; Gregory Wichman of Freeport and Kevin Wichman of Rock City, one sister, Kallie Roethlisberger of Freeport, aunt, LaVonne Wichman of Baileyville, uncle, Terry Stauffer of DeWitt, Iowa, three nieces; Jennifer, Megan and Hannah, and 4 nephews; Tim, Christopher, Andrew and Lucas. Melissa was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and her uncle. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday April 18, 2011 in the Baileyville Reformed Church with the Rev. John Tilstra officiating. Visitation will be Sunday 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport.
