Maurice Anthony Tatum

December 5, 1994 - March 11, 2021 Maurice Anthony Tatum passed away suddenly in Freeport, IL on March 11, 2021 in his home. He was born December 5, 1994 in Harvey, IL to Marcia Davenport (Robinson) and Charles Henry Tatum III. He received his high school diploma and successfully completed job training at Joliet Job Corp in 2013. Maurice's hobbies included music, dancing, and hanging out with friends. Maurice is well known for his humor and outgoing personality. He loved his family and always wanted one of his own. Maurice is survived by his dad, Charles Tatum III, mom and step-dad Marcia and Aaron Robinson, sisters' Illana Dunbar, Aleishia Tatum (nephew MJ) and brother Timothy Tatum. Many maternal aunts' including Kesha Davenport, Ivy Davenport, all his Tatum aunts, uncles and a host of cousins' and extended family members including his bff Kita. Maurice had a close relationship with his paternal grandmother Sandy Taylor, or as Maurice would call her 'Granny Taylor'. Loved by so many including his maternal grandparents William and Michelle Davenport. Preceding him in death is his aunt Talisa Davenport, uncle Rocky Davenport Jr and maternal grandmother Shirley Johnson. There will be no visitation, memorial services for Maurice will be a private virtual event on Saturday, March 20th at 1:00 p.m. You will need to contact his mom for the zoom information to attend.
