Matthew "Matt" J. Monigold

Matthew "Matt" J. Monigold, 56, of Freeport, died Tuesday May 16, 2017. Matt was born July 11, 1960 in Freeport, the son of Carl G. and Betty Jean (Kish) Monigold. He worked at P.N.C. in Polo as a maintenance technician. Matt enjoyed golfing and vacationing in Key West with all of his friends. He was a big Chicago Bear fan. Surviving are his brothers, William "Bill" (Kelly) Monigold, Michael (Vicki) Monigold, Timothy (Melinda) Monigold, Ted (Sandy) Monigold, Jeff (Rose) Monigold, and Daniel (Lisa) Monigold; and sister, Wendy (Dave) Nienhius. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Becky Keech; and brother, Andrew Monigold. Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Saturday May 20, 2017 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Rev. Gavin Brandt will officiate. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service. A memorial has been established in his memory.
