Mary T. Madden

Mary T. Madden, 92, of Freeport died Sunday, July 9, at Manor Court in Liberty Village. Mary was born August 10, 1924 in Manhattan, New York, the daughter of Arthur D. Walsh and Pauline (Walheim) Walsh. She worked as a Civil Servant for the State of New York in personnel from 1974-1997. Surviving are her son, Daniel (Tina) Madden of Manteca, California; two daughters, Theresa (Joseph) Best of Freeport and Paula (Thomas) Mulhearn of St. Louis, Missouri; sister, Therese Sokolik of Virginia Beach, Virginia; brothers: Arthur Walsh of The Villages, Florida; William (Pat) Walsh of Troy, New York; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, son (Joseph), and grandson (Brian). Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, July 29 in Freeport.
