Mary M. Mcgee

April 11, 1946 — October 31, 2022

Mary M. McGee, of Rockford, IL., departed this earthly life on October 31, 2022. She was born on April 11, 1946, in West, Mississippi, the daughter of George and Florence Pearson-Jordan. Mary married the late Roger C. McGee on April 29, 1966. She lived in Freeport, IL for many years and later moved to Rockford, IL. While residing in Freeport, she was employed at Honeywell Micro Switch, Freeport Manor, and Provena Nursing Home. She retired from OSF Saint Anthony Hospital in Rockford. Mary was a member of Holy Temple Church of God in Christ in Freeport and later joined Living Faith Tabernacle in Rockford, where she was a faithful member until her passing. She attended schools in West, MS. and West High School in Rockford, Il. She loved animals and enjoyed playing the tambourine and guitar. Mary leaves to cherish many loving memories, two daughters, Stephanie (Raymond) Gosha of Holt MI, and Larita Hawkins of Freeport; two grandsons Timothy Farrar Jr., Freeport, and Logan Farrar, Charlotte, NC.; seven great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Roger C. McGee, one son, her parents George and Florence Jordan; one brother Clarke Jordan, and five sisters Cora Lee Washington, Ruby Johnson, Helen Scott, Lula Bell Ellis, and Katherine Turner. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 12th at First Church of God 484 S. Ottawa, Freeport, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
