Mary Jane Wiersum

Mary Jane Wiersum, 81, of Crystal Lake, IL, and formerly of Lena, IL, died peacefully Sunday February 14, 2016 Fair Oaks Health Care Center in Crystal Lake, IL.. She was born March 14, 1934 in Amboy, IL, the daughter of Max and Nina (Phillips) Aughenbaugh. She married Herman C. Wiersum July 16, 1955 in Dixon, IL. She was a registered nurse and a homemaker. She was a member of Christian Reformed Church. Mary Jane is survived by her husband Herman Wiersum; her son Edward (Pamela) Wiersum of Crystal Lake, IL; two daughters Susan Webb and Sharon (Daniel) Super; her sister Anita Contreras; six grandchildren Cassandra Webb, James and Thomas Super, and Samantha, Max, and Dean Wiersum; and one great-granddaughter Zoe. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday February 17, 2016 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Entombment will be in Oakland Mausoleum.
