Mary Frances Smith

Mary Frances Smith, 93, of Freeport, IL departed her earthly life to begin her eternal life on Thursday, January 21, 2021. Mary was born on March 23, 19227. She married Joe Smith and together they raised six children. Mary is survived by five children, Eddie (Gabriel) Smith of Killeen, TX, Linda (the late Jimmy) Boddie, Callie (James) Gibson, Ida (the late LeRoy) Johnson all of Freeport, IL, and Irene Burt of Waterloo, IA; a special daughter Annie Eichelberger of Mississippi; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Smith, son Robert Smith; granddaughter, Joshlyn Gibson; great-grandson, Robert "Robbie" Smith, son-in-law, Jimmie Boddie; and a very special son-in-law who calls her mother, LeRoy Johnson. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday January 28, 2021 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at Burke-Tubbs.
