Mary Bokemeier

Mary K. Bokemeier, 85, of Freeport, died peacefully from pancreatic cancer Sunday January 29, 2012 in her home. Mary was born on June 5, 1926 in Las Cruses, New Mexico the daughter of Raymond and Hattie (Bessert) McCarty. On August 24, 1962 Mary married Ervin Ray Bokemeier at the Faith Church in Freeport. Ervin Ray passed away on Tuesday July 19, 2005. Mary worked at Micro Switch for 22 years before retiring in 1982. She was a volunteer at FHN Hospital. Survivors include daughter; Rosemary Trampel of Corpus Christi, Texas, stepdaughters; Rae Jean (Bob) Robinson of Chandler, Arizona and Georgia J. (Earl) Herman of Freeport, son; Michael H. Trampel of Oregon, daughter-in-law Nancy Trampel of Pearl City, seven grandchildren; Michelle Genberg, Chad Herman, Brad Robinson, Aaron Robinson, Travis Robinson, Michael Gahm and Steve Gahm. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and a special friend Homer Van Matre. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son; Steven, three brothers and five sisters.
