Marvin "Marv" Vietmeier

Marvin "Marv" Vietmeier, 79, of Forreston, IL, died Saturday January 15, 2022 at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born October 30, 1942 in Freeport, IL, the son of Clarence and Margaret (Smith) Vietmeier. Marvin married Diana Alberts June 16, 1962 in Forreston, IL. Marvin was a mechanic for Smith Ford and Downing and Otte. He was an active member of Forreston Reformed Church and a Volunteer for the Forreston Fire Department. Marvin is survived by his wife of 60 years Diana Vietmeier of Forreston, IL; two sons, Todd (Debbie) Vietmemier of Forreston, IL and Kevin (Michelle) Vietmeier of Chesterfield, MO; daughter, Laurie (Edgar Huenefeld) Waack of Forreston, IL; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Doris. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday January 19, 2022 at Forreston Reformed Church with Rev. Lyle Zumdahl officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport, IL. A memorial has been established in his memory.
