Marvin Lee Muller, 87, of Forreston died Thursday at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Center, Mt, Morris. Marvin was born on April 1, 1924 in Forreston the son of Clarence C. and Alice (Hamilton) Muller. Marvin graduated from Forreston High School in 1942. Marvin is a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Forreston and the Forreston Lions Club. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and enjoyed attending sporting events. Marvin owned and operated The Mar-Net Inn restaurant in Forreston for several years. He was also employed in agricultural sales and later worked at Sunset Golf Course in Mt. Morris. Survivors include his son , Greg (Martha) Muller of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Five daughters; Vicki (Rolland) Scheffner of Leaf River, Sandy (Monty) Lolling of Rockford, Martha (Patrick) Winter of Winnebago, Gloria (John) Kamprath of Estes Park, Colorado and Cindy (Julie Martin) of Centennial , Colorado. His sister, Norene Scott of Forreston and sister-in-law Marilyn Muller of Mt. Morris. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren. Marv was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Earl and Kenneth, his niece Rebecca Muller and his nephew Michael Muller. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. September 6, 2011 at Faith Lutheran Church, Forreston, with Rev. Susie Hill, pastor officiating. Visitation will be Monday, 1:00-3:00 P.M in Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, Forreston. Burial will be in West Grove Cemetery, Forreston.
