Martha A. Moody

Martha A. Moody, 93, formerly of Forreston, died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Provena St. Joseph Home. She was born in Stephenson Co. on August 22, 1919, the daughter of William and Minnie (Groene) Albert Sr. Martha was an Administrative Assistant to President of Watt Publishing Co. in Mt. Morris. She married Roland Moody on October 12, 1940 in Leaf River. He died on February 18, 2002. Martha was a member of Adeline Zion Evangelical Church, where she was the former Church Organist. She was a 1937 graduate of Leaf River High School. Survivors include many nephews and nieces and great nephews and great nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother William (Anna Mary) Albert Jr., three sisters, Lydia (Roy) Hagemann, Emma (Ambrose) Stover and Johanna (David) Genandt. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Adeline Zion Evangelical Church. Pastor Larry Jameson will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at the Church. Burial will be in Adeline Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her memory.
