Marlene Ann Korf

Marlene A. Korf, 78, of Freeport, passed away, Sunday April 24, 2022. Marlene was born February 15, 1944, in Princeton, Illinois, the daughter of Clarence and Mary (Druien) Pierson. She was a graduate of Forreston High School. Marlene married Leo Korf June 23, 1962, in Forreston. Leo passed away February 25, 2021. Marlene owned and operated Country Girl Floral for 31 years. She took great pride in her flower beds when they lived on the farm. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. Surviving is two sons, Mark (Karen) Korf of Delavan, Wisconsin, and Paul (Shawna) Korf of Forreston; daughter, Brenda Korf of Freeport; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Jeremy, Kaitlin, Jacob, Meikayla, Jordyn, and Bailee; sister, Lynette Schneiderman; and sister-in-law, Barb Pierson. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mary; husband, Leo; and brothers, Kenny and Denny. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday April 30, 2022, at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Chaplain Sean M. Huguenin will officiate. Visitation 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in Marlene's memory.
