Mark E. Moring

Mark E. Moring, 61, of Freeport, formerly of Forreston, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 9, 2016 after an extended illness. He was born in Freeport, IL on February 21, 1955, the son of Verlyn and Ilene (Asche) Moring. Mark graduated from Forreston High School in 1974. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed sports. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Forreston. Mark is survived by his mother Ilene Moring of Forreston, Il; six sisters Vicki (Loris) Thomas of Rock City, IL, Pam Moring of Forreston, Il, Diane Aurand, and Marcia (Jeff) Durling both of Lena, IL, Denise (Ron) Plock of German Valley, Il, and Teresa (Tim) Dick of Garland, TX; his brother Eric (Jean) Moring of Mt. Morris, IL; 22 nieces and nephews; 16 great-nieces and nephews, whom he enjoyed very much; three aunts; numerous cousins; and his dog Mitzi. He was preceded in death by his father Verlyn Moring; his brother Jeffrey; his brother-in-law Monte Aurand; and two cousins Dennis Moring and Dennis Asche. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday May 13, 2016 at first United Methodist Church in Forreston with Pastor David Poust officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church.
