Marjory Myers, 89, of Freeport, died Wednesday May 16, 2012 at Provena St. Joseph Center. Marjory was born on October 6, 1922 in Ames, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Gertrude (Carberry) Taff. On April 27, 1946 Marjory married James Myers in Ames, Iowa. James died on August 23, 2003. Marjory worked as a flight attendant for TWA. She enjoyed summers at 10 Mile Lake and winters in Tucson, Arizona. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Newcomers Club and PEO. Survivors include three daughters; Cathy (Michael) Schleich, Omaha, Ne, Patty (Larry) Blackbourn, Freeport and Peggy (Butch) Schoenhard, Freeport, two sisters; Jeanne Cutter, Lombard, IL and Mary Watkins, Ames, IA, 8 grandchildren; Aaron Schleich, Omaha, Ne, Adam (Kailey) Schleich, New Orleans, La, Wendy (Dave) Hagen, Jordan, Mn, Dr. Scott Bares, Lanark, Il, David Bares, Seattle, Wa, Richard (Kasie) Bares, Castle Rock, Co, Beth (Brian) Keller, Chicago, Il, Jamey Schoenhard, Chicago, Il. Also surviving are great-grandchildren; Benjamin and Katie Eichholz, Paige Hagen, Jordan, Mn, Ava Bares, Littleton, Co, Ryan Bares, Castle Rock, Co, Bryson Keller, Chicago, IL. Marjory was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and one sister. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday May 19, 2012 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Visitation will be Saturday; 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at St. Thomas. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
