Marjorie Mae Brose

Marjorie Mae Brose, 94, of Freeport, died Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Manor Court. Marjorie was born July 11, 1923 in Freeport, the daughter of Cash R. and Rosetta (Hoppe) Eells. Marjorie married Ernest F. Brose; he died February 24, 2005. She worked as a clerk for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Isabel Chapter 322 Eastern Star, and Wa-Tan-Ye Club. Marjorie is survived by her two sons, Ernest (Karen) Brose II of Freeport, Il and Michael (Linda) Brose of Lena., IL; four grandchildren, Matthew (Lori) Brose of Davis, Il, Sarah (Fred) Brose of Freeport, IL, Stephanie Lynne Brose of Freeport, IL, and Amy Michelle (Jason) Hoffman of Coleta, IL; and three great-grandchildren, Aria and Quinn Hoffman, and Camron Brose. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday March 26, 2018 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Johnson officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at Burke Tubbs. Burial will be in Lena Burial Park. A memorial has been established in her memory.
