Marilyn Nauman, 81, of Freeport, IL died Wednesday September 1, 2021 peacefully in her home. She was born October 12, 1939 in Salem, IL, the daughter of Merle and Grace (Cantrell) Wells. Marilyn married Donald Nauman October 20, 1962 in West Brooklyn, IL. Marilyn was a homemaker, worked at Bergners in the accounting department, and in the insurance industry as a secretary. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, camping, and entertaining people. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Donald Nauman of Freeport, IL; two sons, Brad( Kathy)Nauman of West Bend, WI, and Steve (Tia) Nauman of Camanche, IA ; daughter, Michelle (Travis) Kubly of Freeport IL; and nine grandchildren, Megan, Asher, Joseph, Madelyn, Lucas, Isaac, Tarah, and Grace. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara Grisby; and grandson, Michael. A funeral mass will be held at 1:30 P.M. Friday September 3, 2021 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Fr. Peter Snieg officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 P.M. until the time of service at the church.
