Marilyn Stukenberg, 76, of Forreston, died Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Kindred Medical Center in Sycamore. Marilyn was born on May 5, 1936 in Hinsdale, IL. the daughter of George and Ruth (Linde) Engel. On June 2, 1956, Marilyn married Eugene A. Stukenberg at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Forreston. Marilyn was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed; knitting, playing Bingo, watching the Chicago Cubs, going ballroom dancing, and listening to the Statler Brothers. Marilyn'™s family and especially her grandchildren meant the world to her. Survivors include husband; Eugene Stukenberg of Forreston, three sons; Brian Stukenberg of Forreston, Barry (Shanna) Stukenberg of Boaz, Alabama, and Brent (LuAnn) Stukenberg of Sterling, one daughter; Jori (Dan) Holland of Freeport, one sister; Marjorie (John) Engel of Polo, two brother-in-laws; Richard (Audrey) Stukenberg and Gerald (Sandra) Stukenberg both of Forreston, sister-in-law; Carol (Michael) Gagliardi of Forreston, 12 grandchildren; Rob, Christopher, Daniel, Matthew, Amy, Tiffany, Stephaine, Dylan, Nicole, Samantha, Wayne and Jessica. Also surviving are 13 great grandchildren. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. Memorial services will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Scott Ralston officiating. Visitation will be Monday 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston.
