Marilyn Ann Hartman

Marilyn Ann Hartman, 76, of Freeport, passed away, surrounded by her family on Wednesday June 18, 2014 at Freeport Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Marilyn was born on December 14, 1937 in Bismark, North Dakota, the daughter of Edward and Helen (Burmeister) Quittschreiber. Marilyn was a 1956 graduate of Lena High School. On February 28, 1959 she married Richard "Dick" Hartman in Freeport. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Marilyn worked for 52 years for Dr. E. Zinser, Dr. Bill Dreibelbis, Dr. Thomas Hartog and Dr. Chad Reedy. She was an avid NASCAR fan; she enjoyed wintering in South Padre, Texas, and attending her grandchildren concerts and sporting events. She is survived by her husband, Richard "Dick" Hartman of Freeport, two children, Shari (Mike) Nissen of Freeport and Mike (Cheryl) Hartman of Ridge Way, WI.; brother, Robert (Patricia) Quittschreiber of Lena; sister, Jane Lindeman of Freeport; seven grandchildren, Dustin (Stephanie) Nissen, Brian (Alexa) Nissen, Alexis Nissen, Annie Nissen, Traci (Mike) Rink, Amanda (Michael LeGrand) Palzkill and Taylor Colin; three great-grandchildren and her beloved dog Molly. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one brother. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday June 23, 2014 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Rev. Stephen Precht will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Church. Entombment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
