Maria De La Luz Perez

Maria De La Luz Perez, 63, of Freeport passed away Tuesday July 9, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI surrounded by her family. She was born October 1, 1955 in Laredo, TX the daughter of Salvio and Marquito (Perez) Reyes. Maria was employed at Titan, Honeywell, Newell and the Freeport School District. She was involved in volunteering and participating in many churches but her home was with the Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, bingo, garage sales, music, dancing, and most importantly attending church every Sunday and spending time with her kids and grandchildren. Surviving are her husband Margarito Torres; children Mellissa Perez, Elsa Perez, Federico Perez Jr., and Sara Perez; grandchildren Sabrina McShane, Latecia Gage, Raquel Gage, Sofia Ramirez, Esperanza Ramirez, Aalyah Perez and Anecia Perez.; and numerous brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandmother and grandson Latereise Santriecca Gage Jr. Funeral mass will be 1:00 P.M. Monday July 15, 2019 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Robert Camacho officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. A memorial has been established in her memory.
