Marguerite L. Dietz, 82, of Forreston, died Monday November 3, 2014 at Polo Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 8, 1932 in Ogle County, IL, the daughter of Daniel and Libby (Pettenger) Raymond. She married Robert Dietz November 18, 1950 in Forreston, IL; he died November 2, 2010. Marguerite and Robert owned and operated D&L/Bob's IGA Grocery Store in Forreston, IL. She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Forreston, IL. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, enjoyed arts and crafts, and family was a very important part of her life. Marguerite is survived by her son Robert (Melita) Dietz of McKinney, TX; two daughters Linda (Mike) Norman of Leaf River, IL and Diane Libberton of Forreston, IL; two brothers Daniel Raymond of Ridott, IL and Lyle (Bonnie) Raymond of Freeport, IL; two sisters Roberta Bass of Rock Falls, IL and Donna Otte of Freeport, IL; five grandchildren Jeremy, Adam, Matt, Amanda, and Andrea; and four great-grandchildren Bailey, Madison, Coby, and Cayden. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Thursday November 6, 2014 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Forreston, IL, with Rev. Scott Ralston officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 P.M. Wednesday at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston, IL. Burial will be take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her memory.
