Margaret Krogull

Margaret Krogull, 88, of Freeport, died Sunday March 4, 2012 at St. Joseph Provena Center. Margaret was born on February 16, 1924 in Freeport the daughter of James and Margaret (Luecke) O'™Connor. Margaret married Martin Krogull on October 27, 1947 in Freeport. Martin died on September 9, 2007. Margaret 'Ma' was in charge of the cafeteria at Aquin High School and an employee of Newell Industries in Freeport for 15 years retiring in 1988. She was also a dentist assistant for Dr. VanLone and Dr. Snyder. She also worked in the Sears Catalog Department. Margaret was always willing to help at various functions at St. Mary'™s Church. She was a member of St. Mary'™s Guild, a bingo worker and a money counter for the parish. She also helped begin the Dinner/Theatre night for Aquin musicals. Surviving Margaret are her daughters; Becky (Norb) Rozanski, Mary Beth (Bruce) Zimmerman, Anne (Kurt) Kubatzke, son; David (Di) Krogull, she also leaves 12 grandchildren; Christopher (Tricia), Bryan (Jennifer), Nicole (Marty Voiles), Aaron and Kathryn Rozanski, Eliza (Aaron) Staver, Amy Zimmerman, Josh (Robin) Krogull, Casey (Jim) Hrycyk, Jesse Krogull, Ben (Autumn) Kubatzke and Katherine Kubatzke, great-grandchildren; Sophie, Madison, Evelyn, Evie, Tony, Bryant, Brandt and Natalie, and her brother; Jack (Shirley)O'™Connor. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters; Geraldine, Roberta and Patricia, brother: James and her granddaughter; Jennifer Lynn. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday March 8, 2012 at St. Mary'™s Catholic Church with Father Robert Camacho officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. There will be a rosary service Wednesday beginning at 3:30 P.M. also at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home.
