Margaret A. Brubaker-Gill

Margaret A. Brubaker Gill, 82, of Freeport, died Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Manor Court of Freeport. She was born on April 20, 1933 the daughter of Christian and Lucinda (Lange) Herold. Margaret was employed by Florance Dining Room, Germania Club, Park View Home and the Eagles Club. She married Robert Brubaker on January 7, 1951. He died on February 7, 1985. She married Dale Gill on November 25, 1995. He died on February 2, 2014. Her memberships included Trinity United Methodist Church and Ladies Auxiliary of Eagles Club #679. Margaret enjoyed volunteering for Relay for Life and other charitable activities, spending time at Gulf Shores Alabama and Crocheting. Survivors include four sons; Daniel (Judy) Brubaker of Venice, FL., Ronald (Janet) Brubaker of Rockford, Robert (Debra) Brubaker of Dakota, IL and Michael (Kelly) Brubaker of Freeport; one daughter, Katherine (Michael) Wagner of Freeport; two brothers, Bill (Jean) Herold of Pearl City and Joe Herold of Freeport; four sisters, Barbara Moyer of Belvidere, Linda (Robert) Capion of Freeport, Carolyn (Dale) Lapp of Freeport and Katherine (Keith) Taylor of Tacoma, WA; also 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be Saturday 1 p.m. at Burke-Tubbs. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Garden.
