Marcella L. Fouke

Marcella L. Fouke, 99, formerly of Freeport, IL passed away Thursday December 14, 2023 at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL. She was born October 2, 1924 in Compton, IL, the daughter of Mildred (Parker) Koch. On August 24, 1942 she married Kenneth E. Fouke in Missouri. Kenneth passed away August 14, 2007. Marcella was employed at Microswitch in Freeport for 18 years and retired in 1976. She was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ in Freeport. Marcella enjoyed baking, especially pies. Her favorite color was purple and she was drawn to anything purple. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her husband and family.

She is survived by her son Kenneth R. Fouke of Rockford, IL; daughter Patricia (Jacob) Rademaker of Freeport; brother Tom Koch of Sterling, IL; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding Marcella in death are her mother, husband, seven siblings, daughter Sharon and daughter in law Diane.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday December 20, 2023 at the Chapel of Peace at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in her memory.
