M. Rebecca Pearson

M. Rebecca(Becki) Pearson 47 was born on November 9, 1971 in Freeport, IL to Ms. Merry Melody(Hayward) Liburd and the late Sidney L. Pearson Sr. She departed this earthly life Sunday, January 13, 2019 surrounded by family and friends. Rebecca received her formal education in the public-school systems of Freeport graduating in 1989 from Freeport High school. Shortly after graduation she relocated to San Diego California where she furthered her education by attending Grossmont College and receiving an Associate of Arts Degree in Paralegal Studies working for many years as a legal secretary of a San Diego California Law Firm. Becki was also very active in parental involvement roles at her daughter's school including serving as Vice President of her daughter's high school Choir's Booster Club. After returning to Freeport Becki was employed as a sales representative at Comcast Cable. Becki grew up attending church at Mount Calvary Church of God in Christ in Freeport and later years Liberty Temple Full Gospel and Good Samaritan Outreach Ministries in San Diego California. Her favorite hobbies included cooking, shopping, and spending time her family and friends Becki was preceded in death by his father Sidney Pearson Sr, a brother Darney Pickens her paternal grandparents Elder Warren Sr. and Mother Rebecca Pearson and her and maternal grandparents Bernice(Frank) Burris and special uncle Malcolm Pearson, and a special friend Marcia "Lady" Taylor She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Kenia Williamson, San Diego, California, her mother Merry Melody Liburd, Freeport, IL. seven sisters Stephanie Winston, San Diego, California, Verita Pearson, Sacramento, California, Lorita Burris, Gloria Driver, Wardella Pearson and Melvina Liburd all of Freeport, and Ruth (Darneice Brown of Brinkley, Arkansas. Seven brothers Sidney Pearson, Oshkosh Wisconsin, Joshua(Vencelia) Pickens of Rockford, IL, William Ivy Pickens of Phoenix, Arizona, Warren(Sherry)Pearson of Freeport, IL, Dr. Solomon(Tamiko) Liburd of, Oswego, IL, and Samson and John Liburd of Freeport, IL Three Aunts Marion Reed Homewood IL, Daisy Pearson, Freeport IL and Bernita Edison, four uncles Leonard Pearson Mitchellville, Maryland, Philemon Pearson, Tacoma Washington, William Burris Seattle Washington, Jeffrey Burris, Freeport IL and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Homegoing Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Mt.
