Lyle E Ditsworth

Lyle E Ditsworth, 74, of Freeport, died Saturday November 5, 2011 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport. Lyle was born on November 9, 1936 in Ogle County the son of Alva and Frieda (Van Raalte) Ditsworth. On August 27, 1955 Lyle married Joyce I. Carson in Lena. Lyle worked at Honeywell for over 34 years before retiring in 1994. Lyle was a member of the Moose & Eagles Club. Lyle was an avid bowler and outdoorsman; camping, hunting, fishing and boating were some of his favorite activities. Spending time with his family was very important to Lyle. Survivors include; wife; Joyce Ditsworth of Freeport, son; Ricky (Laurie) Ditsworth of Freeport, daughter; Carla (Gordon) Mathews of Freeport, eight grandchildren; Amy (Justin) Mills of Lena, Amanda (Jerry) Rubin of Freeport, Ashley (Eric) Woker of Freeport, Angie (Barry) Folgate Jr. of Freeport, Carissa Mathews, Heather Mathews, Eric Mathews, and Tyler Mathews all of Freeport. Also surviving are five great grandchildren Payton and Paxton Woker, Jenessa Mathews, Alayna Pitsenbarger and Harlan Folgate. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers; Ray Ditsworth Sr., LaVerne Ditsworth, Clarence 'Butch' Ditsworth and Duwaine Ditsworth. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday November 9, 2011 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home with Pastor Jarrod Stichter officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday 4:00P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Burke Tubbs.
