Lydia A. Young

Lydia A. Young, 87, of Freeport, passed away, Tuesday April 6, 2021 at Javon Bae Mercy Hospital, Rockford. Lydia was born May 21, 1933, the daughter of Raymond and Gladys Young. Lydia taught at several Freeport schools throughout the years including, Harlem, Taylor Park, and Lincoln Douglas. She was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ. Surviving is numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday April 14, 2021 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Rev.
