Lula B. Wooten

Lula Beth Wooten, 81, of Freeport, passed away, Saturday August 10, 2024, at Liberty Village, surrounded by her loving family. Lula was born December 18, 1942, in Redwood, Mississippi, the daughter of Joseph and Pauline (Sheller) Reddit. Lula married Louie L. Wooten on December 5, 1959. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years in several medical offices. She enjoyed volunteering at Monroe Hospital.

Survivors include her husband, Louie L. Wooten of Freeport; son, Louie W. (Donna) Wooten of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter, Alisa (Ron) Gahm of Freeport; sister, Linda (Douglas) Dubuisson; brother, Joseph (Karen) Sheller of Arkansas; and two grandchildren, Mandy Gerdes and Courtney Willis.

Lula was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial service will be 11:00 am Friday August 23, 2024 at Harmony United Methodists Church. Pastor Eddie Eddy will officiate. Visitation from 9:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for FACC Homeless Shelter in Mrs. Wooten's memory.
