Lucia Lynn Griffith

Lucia Lynn Griffith, 94, of Indianola, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023.

Lucia was born on June 10, 1929 in Freeport, Stephenson County, Illinois. She graduated from Drake University, Des Moines, IA. She was a lifetime member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She retired from civil service from the Internal Revenue Service, Phoenix District Office. In addition, she was a commissioned Stephen’s Minister and Hospice trained bereavement counselor.

Lucia is survived by her children, John Golden, Jennifer (Larry) Ewing; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dave (Carol) De Graff, Denise Lane; many other nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Golden, Paul Griffith, Paul Zurr; parents, Lewis and Flora De Graff; siblings, Lew (Brum) and Betty De Graff, Larry Lane.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday November 10, 2023 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston, Il. with Rev. Scott Ralston officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial of cremains will be held at White Oak Cemetery, Forreston, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to your local Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
