Lowell F. Dewall

March 7, 1952 — July 25, 2021

On Sunday, July 25, 2021, Lowell DeWall, loving husband, amazing father, and papa, passed away at the age of 69. Lowell was born March 7, 1952, to Lloyd and Ethel DeWall of Baileyville. He attended Forreston High School where he met the love of his life Jackie Rosenbaum. They were Senior Prom King and Queen in High School. They were sweethearts, lovers, best friends, and did everything together. In less than three short months they were going to be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on a month-long camping adventure out west in their new R-Pod travel trailer. Lowell owned and operated his own painting business for 45 years where he was known for the perfection of his work. Lowell was well known for being one of the hardest working guys there ever was. Lowell and Jackie raised two children, Mandy, and Kyle whom he was very proud of. He also loved his four grandchildren, Hunter and Hailee DeWall and Avery and Tanner Hafferty who all knew him as Papa Dede. He was a part of his kids and grandkids lives in every way from hunting, fishing, sports, texting jokes, watching the Bachelor, playing chess and croquet, building zip lines and many other crazy inventions. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, his chickens, wood working, trying to duplicate puzzles and games he saw, making brick oven pizza, and his latest challenge of panning for gold. You could always count on Lowell if you mentioned something you wanted because he would go find it on Facebook Marketplace or just build it himself. Lowell would have it at your house before you knew it. Lowell always had a good joke and a sparkle in his smile, which will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. Surviving is his wife, Jackie DeWall; children, Mandy (Jamie) Hafferty, and Kyle (Amanda) DeWall; and grandchildren, Hunter and Hailee DeWall, and Avery and Tanner Hafferty. Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, and sister. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday July 29, 2021, at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Forreston. Rev. Jerry Martz will officiate.
