Louise W. Grove, 89, of Freeport died Monday at Alpine Fireside Health Center, Rockford. She was born August 1, 1922 in Rockford, Illinois the daughter of Paul and Maggie (Smith) LaTour. On May 26, 1946 she married Henry M. Grove in Freeport, Illinois. He died August 15, 1994. Mrs. Grove was a World War II veteran, serving as First Lieutenant with the Army Nurse Corps in the European Theatre. Mrs. Grove was a 1943 graduate of Deaconess School of Nursing. She was a Nurse at Freeport Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a member of Community Reformed Church of Freeport and a member of Freeport Memorial Hospital Alumni. Mrs. Grove is survived by two daughters; Lynda 'Lynne' (John) Czervionke of Southside, Alabama and Laura Ditsworth of Loves Park, Illinois. Three grandchildren; Paul Joseph (Kathy) Czervionke, Hope Elizabeth Czervionke and Rachel Louise LaTour-Paramo (partner, Yolanda Paramo). Four great-grandchildren; Hannah Marie Amundson, Erin Louise Amundson, Emma Kate Czervionke and Jon Oliver Czervionke. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by seven sisters, one brother and her son in law, Jay Ditsworth Funeral service for Mrs. Grove will be Thursday, 11:30 A.M. in Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport. Rev. Herbert Bollman, pastor of Reformed Community Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:30 until time of service at Burke-Tubbs. Memorials have been established for Community Reformed Church and Friends Forever Humane Society. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport.
