Louise M. Eells

Louise Maria Eells, 98 of Freeport, IL and Brandon, FL died peacefully, Thursday, September 12th in Brandon, FL.

Born on December 9, 1925, in Borgerhout (Antwerp) Belgium, she was a daughter of Petrus and Joanna (Peters) DeLeeuw, sister of Gus DeLeeuw and Liz (Reemstma) Sweeney. She is survived by her sons - Tim Eells (Karen Mosblech), Tom Eells (Michele Keen) her step-grandchildren Chelsea Hougan, Hollie Martin, and grandchildren Marie Eells Schmidt (Levi Schmidt), Calvin Eells and Matthew Eells.

Louise worked at Burgess Battery and Micro Switch in Freeport, IL. She loved to spend time with family and friends. She spent many springs in Port Aransas, Texas. She enjoyed being outside, and into her 80s you could often find her taking long walks all around Freeport each morning and late afternoon.

There will be a memorial service in honor of Louise 6:00 p.m. Tuesday December 3, 2024 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home 504 N Walnut Ave, Freeport, IL 61032. Visitation 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
