Loretta Kay Rouzan

Loretta "Kay" Rouzan, 78, of Freeport passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at FHN Memorial Hospital.

Kay was born on March 11, 1945 in Freeport, IL the daughter of Robert "Bob" and Lauretta (Heiserman) Fishburn. She graduated with her Associates in Business from Highland Community College in Freeport. Kay started her banking career with State Bank in Freeport and then went to work for Amcore Bank in Rockford where she retired. She was a longtime member of Harmony United Methodist Church and was active in the choir and Sunday School at the church. Kay would often be seen enjoying a Hostess Crumb Cake, reading or participating in word games. Most of all she cherished spending time with her family.

Kay is survived by her two daughters; Karen Johnson of Freeport, Susannah Johnson and partner Patrick of Honolulu, Hawaii; three grandchildren, Morgan Paarmann and spouse Shawn, Taylor Buisker and partner Ryan Paulo, Joshua Buisker; great-grandson, Bash Paulo; brother, William Fishburn of New Mexico; sister, Jean Fishburn of Cedar Rapids, IA; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial Visitation will be 10:00am until the time of Memorial Service at 11:00am on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Harmony United Methodist Church in Freeport with Pastor Eddie Eddy, Sr, officiating. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
