Loretta E. Hagen

Loretta E. Hagen, 92, of Freeport, passed away Friday December 18, 2020. She was born April 11, 1928 in Massbach, IL, the daughter of George and Martha (Endress) Atz. Loretta married Benjamin Knutti September 14, 1952; he died December 25, 1962; she later married Clifford Hagen January 23, 1965; he died September 21, 2001. She was employed at Freeport Senior High in the cafeteria and later retired from Walmart. Loretta enjoyed baking, embroidery work, flowers, music and traveling. Most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her family. Loretta was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Freeport. Loretta is survived by her two sons, Doug Knutti of Wausau, MO and David (Wendy) Hagen of Jordan, MN; three daughters, Diana (Rudi) Schaefer of Pine Island, MN, Brenda (Ludwig) Schaefer of Freeport, IL, and Karen (Tim) Davenport of Freeport, IL; sister Virginia (Doug) Kubly of Forreston, IL; sister-in-law Marlene Atz of Freeport, IL; ten grandchildren; six grea-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brother Marvin, infant sister and daughter Levina Meyers. Due to Covid private family services will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
