Lorayne D. Edwards

Lorayne D. Edwards, 95, of Freeport, died Thursday, December 7, 2017 in her home. Lorayne was born February 27, 1922 in Chicago, the daughter of John C. and Mary (Seamon) Kroll. She married Donald Edwards January 23, 1965 in LaGrange, Illinois. Lorayne worked in retail for Montgomery-Ward. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Lorayne enjoyed home design and decorating. Surviving are her husband, Donald Edwards; and niece, Janice Templeton of LaGrange. Lorayne was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters. Funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday December 12, 2017 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Kenneth Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at St. Thomas on Tuesday. Entombment will take place at Oakland Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Lorayne's memory.
