Lola M. Wagner

Lola M. Wagner, 90, of Freeport, passed away peacefully on Friday December 25, 2020 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Lola was born February 4, 1930 in Byron, Illinois, the daughter of John and Helen (Reber) Wagner. Lola was married to Ralph Meier in 1949. He died on April 25, 1995. She later married Ronald Smith who died May 10, 2016. Mrs. Wagner enjoyed reading, playing cards and needle work in her free time. She is survived by her daughter, Morgan Sigafus, of Waukesha, Wisconsin; her son Nathan (Mary) Meier of Freeport; seven grandchildren, Claire Kohlmann, Corey Meier, Kelly Lindstrom, Megan Zimmerman, Dawn Hart, Scott Meier, and Todd Meier. Also surviving are 13 great-grandchildren. Lola was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sister, Virginia Borneman; son, Bradley Meier; and daughter, Trudy Diehl. No visitation or funeral services will be held at this time. A family gathering will be held at a later date. A memorial has been established in Mrs. Wagner's memory.
