Linda M. Ditsworth

Linda Mae Ditsworth, 80, of Freeport, IL passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford, IL. She was born August 30, 1941 in Freeport, IL the daughter of Ivan Johnson and Esther Maize. On May 22, 1992 she married Jim Ditsworth in Pearl City, IL. Linda was employed at Honeywell in the human resources department for 40 years. She was a member of the Freeport Eagles Club, and a Card Club member for 48 years. Linda was a volunteer at FHN Hospital and also was affiliated with the Freeport Fair as a Superintendent and Highland Community College as an RSVP volunteer. Linda enjoyed going to stock car races with her husband, playing euchre three days a week, going to Culver's with her daughter and grandchildren, many trips to Texas and several other places, the board game Aggravation, crosswords, puzzles and baking. She is survived by her husband of 30 years Jim of Freeport, IL; daughter Amy Frazier of Roscoe, IL; two step-daughters Susie (Andy) Dvorak of Freeport, IL and Pam Ditsworth of Freeport, IL; sister Betty Metz of Freeport, IL; grandchildren Tim (Laura) Krieger of Freeport, IL, Matt Krieger of Eau Claire, WI, Hailey (Cory) Frazier of Roscoe, IL, Maiah Frazier of Roscoe, IL, Jacob Pizzolato of Freeport, IL, and Jordan Pizzolato of Freeport, IL; step-grandchildren RJ (Rachel) Ferguson of Lanark, IL, Stephanie (Kyle) Reese of Warren, IL, and Willie Wagner of Freeport, IL; 3 great-grandchildren and 8 step-great-grandchildren. Preceding Linda in death are her parents, daughter Kathy Rinehart; step-son Donald Ditsworth; and two brothers Donald Johnson and Elmer Johnson. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday June 6, 2022 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Monday and also from 1:00-4:00 P.M. Sunday June 5, 2022 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in Linda's memory.
