Linda L. Baker

Linda L. Baker, 74, of Freeport, IL passed away Saturday January 28, 2023 at Manor Court of Freeport. She was born July 22, 1948 in Freeport, IL to William and Selma (Lee) Endress. On October 14, 1978 she married Jonathan "Jon" Baker in Freeport, IL. Jon passed away October 9, 2016. Linda worked at Swiss Colony as a customer service manager for many years. She was a member of the Freeport Eagles Club, where she participated in the Ladies Auxiliary and she was also a member of the Freeport Elks Lodge 617. Linda was an avid reader and she also enjoyed meeting her friend group of women at Beaches for dinner. She also really enjoyed traveling with her husband Jon and spending time with her family. She is survived by her brother-in-law Roger (Carol) Baker of Fayetteville, AR and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother and sister-in-law Eugene and Georgina Baker. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday February 2, 2023 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Eddy officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in her memory.
