Linda F. Jackson

Linda Faye Jackson born May 3, 1959 in Forest City, Arkansas to the late John and Verline Jackson. The family moved to Freeport, IL in 1966. She then graduated from Freeport Sr. High in 1979. After graduation she attended Highland Community College until she left to serve in the U.S. Navy for four years. After Honorable Discharge she came home and worked for Stucto (Thermos) until the time of closing. She then went to work for the Freeport School District until the time of her illness. Linda loved to be around her family and friends. She was a very kind and loving person loved by many. She would do whatever she could to help anyone. Her door was always open. Linda was the life of the party. She leaves to cherish one son, Tavion Jamal Jackson; three sisters, Alberta Doretha (Calvin), and Patricia (Byron) Jackson; four brothers, John Jr., Will, Elmo (Brenda) and Andrew (Norma) Jackson of Freeport; a host of nephews, nieces, and many, many cousins as well as a lifetime friend, Denise (DeeDee) Sanders-Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Verline Jackson; son, Steven Jackson; two sisters, Barbara Jackson Brooks and Louverda Jackson; sister-in-law, Betty Jackson; special nephew, Jason L. brooks; and special niece, Nakita M. Jackson. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday September 18, 2020 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Visitation is 9:30 a.m. unitl the time of service at Burke Tubbs. Burial will be in City Cemetery.
