Linda C. Manns

Linda C. Manns, 72, of Freeport, died Sunday, November 11, 2012 at her home in Freeport. Linda was born on September 20, 1940 in Freeport, the daughter of Charles and Matilda 'Tillie' (Frueh) Pfeiffer. Linda married David Manns on June 25, 1966 in Freeport. She worked at Micro Switch as a secretary, DeMeester'™s Greenhouse and also for Newell. Linda was a member of St. Joseph'™s Catholic Church and also a former Germania Club member. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and making floral arrangements. Mrs. Manns is survived by her husband, David Manns; son, Michael Manns, of Freeport; brother, Karl Pfeiffer, of Freeport; sisters, Mary Ann (John) Pontius and Barbara (Bob) Zielinski; grandson, Joshua Manns; step-granddaughters, Jessica Borgmann, Melissa Rucker, and Nicole Heyen; great-grandchildren; Tina Rucker, Jessica Rucker, and Ambri Borgmann. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Clarence who died at birth and brother-in-law, Bob. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary'™s Catholic Church. Visitation will be Wednesday 5:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. There will also be a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the Church.
