Lilas V. Grabow

Lilas V. Grabow, 87, of Forreston, died, Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Lilas was born on April 28, 1928 in Brooklyn, Wisconsin, the daughter of Earl and Vera (Pease) Trickel. Lilas married Robert F. Grabow Sr. on September 15, 1946 in Freeport. Mr. Grabow passed away on May 25, 2000. She owned and operated L & R Caf in Forreston for many years. Lilas enjoyed playing bingo, card games and going to the boat. Her family and especially her grandkids were very important to her. Surviving are her son, Robert (Lana) Grabow Jr. of Cedarville; daughter, Diana (John) Kilday of Forreston; nine grandchildren, Annette (Lin) Schryver, Barry Pierson, Timothy (Mary) Pierson, Brian (Jerilyn) Kilday, Robin (Billy) Bare, Toni (Ken) Warfield, Kristle (Steve) Morgan, Todd Schoville and Chad Schoville. Also surviving are 24 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. Lilas was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday March 21, 2016 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston. Visitation will be Sunday 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. also at Burke Tubbs in Forreston.
