Leonard F. Hose

Leonard F. Hose, 84, of Shannon, died Monday, January 14, 2019 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Leonard was born July 19, 1934 in Pine Creek Township (Ogle County), Illinois, the son of Frederick and Verna (Lohr) Hose. Leonard married Phyllis Good on September 23, 1960 in Mt. Morris. Leonard proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He farmed for many years in the Shannon area. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, antiques, playing cards, and going to auctions. Surviving is his wife, Phyllis Hose of Shannon; son, Richard (Phyllis Ann) Hose of Monroe, Wisconsin; two daughters, Amy Lynn Milby of Rock Falls and Pamela Jean (Brian) Raab of Lanark; sister, Shirley Boseneiler of Rock Falls; six granddaughters Amber (Keith) Lehnherr of Oregon, WI, Audrey (Matt) Mullen of North Augusta, SC, Karie Raab of Shorewood, IL, Katie Raab of Oshkosh, WI, Samantha Hose of Monroe, WI and Meredith Hose of Monroe, WI, and four great-grandchildren. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, and half sister, Ruth Gasmund. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday January 19, 2019 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Forreston. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until the time of service also at Burke Tubbs. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in Leonard's memory.
