Leonard A. Malstaff

Leonard A. Malstaff, 92, of Freeport, died Tuesday March 29, 2011 at FHN Memorial Hospital . Leonard was born on March 16, 1919 in LaPort, Indiana, the son of Joseph and Laura (Stickley) Malstaff . On May 1, 1943 Leonard married Dina Castelluccio in Mishawaka, Indiana. Leonard farmed for 15 years before working for Drewrys LTD Brewery for 25 years. Finally Leonard worked for the Mishawaka School District for 10 years. Leonard was an avid gardener, he enjoyed crossword puzzles. His family was extremely important to him. Survivors include; wife, Dina Malstaff of Freeport, two sons; Ronald (Donna) Malstaff of Winnebago and Gary (Christine) Malstaff of Mundaline, two brothers; Harry Malstaff of Walkerton, Indiana and William (Willadean) Malstaff of Fish Lake, Indiana, one sister, Catherine (Jim) Ganger of Walkerton, Indiana. Also surviving are two grandchildren; Lisa(John) Serafini of Freeport and Ryan (Dana) Malstaff of Columbus, Ohio. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents. Private family services will be held at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home according to Leonard'™s wishes. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, Indiana.
