Leona Marie Busker

Leona Busker, 84, of Freeport, died in her home on Tuesday January 10, 2012. Leona was born on December 24, 1927 in Baileyville, the daughter of Roy and Ida (Harmsen) Kriens. On June 19, 1947 Leona married James P. Busker in Baileyville. Leona worked at W.T. Rawleigh'™s for 25 years as an administrative assistant. She was a member of the Baileyville Reformed Church, Baileyville Thimble Club, and Missionaries Club of the Church. Leona enjoyed sewing, baking and listening to music. Survivors include her husband; James P. Busker, son; Daniel (Toni) Busker of McConnell, two daughters; Mary Dagel of Maryville, Tennessee, Rosalie (Donald) Coyner of Ocala, Florida, daughter-in-law; Judy Busker of Scales Mound, Illinois, 10 grandchildren; Eric, James, Jason, Danielle, Brian, Jeremy, Jeffrey, Robert, Melissa and Jessica, also surviving are 15 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, one son Dwight, son-in-law Gary Dagel. Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday January 13, 2012 at Baileyville Reformed Church with Pastor Ben Kappers officiating. Visitation will be Thursday January 12, 2012, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. There will also be a visitation Friday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at the Church. Burial will be at Cranes Grove Cemetery.
