Leona L. Tietjen, 73, of Naperville and former Freeport, Illinois resident died Tuesday in Alden Estates of Naperville. She was born January 10, 1938 in Freeport the daughter of Charles and Mabel (Jacobs) Huber. Leona was a graduate of Freeport High School. She married Lester Tietjen on July 4, 1959 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Freeport. Leona was employed as a medical secretary and clinic office manager. They were prior residents of Princeville, Illinois, Richmond Ca., Deltona, Fla. And DeKalb, Ill. She will be sadly missed by her husband Lester; daughter Lisa (William) Diggins of Crest Hill, Ill. and Patrick (Rebecca) Tietjen of Naperville, Illinois. Her grandsons; Will and Alex Diggins; Jacob and Benjamin Tietjen. Her brother, Roger Huber of Kirkland, Illinois. Two sisters; Phyllis Wahler of Richardson, Texas and Marcia (Don) Sorn of Monroe, Wisconsin. Her husband'™s sisters; Mary Ann (Don) Merrill of Sterling, Illinois and Helen (Charles) Franz of Freeport, Illinois. Also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who all loved her kind and gentle spirit. Funeral mass for Mrs. Tietjen will be Friday, 10:30 A.M. in Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Freeport. Rev. Timothy Barr, pastor will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. to time of mass in Saint Joseph. Burial will be in Chapel Hill memorial Gardens, Freeport.
