Leo L. Korf

Leo L. Korf, 77, of Forreston, passed away February 25, 2021 at FHN Memorial Hospital (not from COVID). Leo was born July 19, 1943 in Freeport, the son of Lewis and Catherine (Weegens) Korf. Leo married Marlene Pierson June 23, 1962 in Forreston. Leo was a lifelong famer. He also helped run Country Girl Floral alongside his wife and daughter, Brenda. Leo was a 1961 graduate of Forreston High School. Leo loved all his family; his grandchildren really held a special place in his heart. Surviving is his wife, Marlene Korf; two sons, Mark (Karen) Korf of Delavan, Wisconsin, and Paul (Shawna) Korf of Forreston; daughter, Brenda Korf of Freeport; and seven grandchildren. Leo is preceded in death by parents. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday February 28, 2021 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport. Chaplain Sean Huguenin will officiate. Visitation 1:00 PM until the time of service at Burke Tubbs, Freeport. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established Leo's memory.
