Leo Charles Lotta

Leo Charles Lotta, 66, of Freeport, IL passed away Saturday February 19, 2022, at SSM Health Monroe Hospice Home in Monroe, WI. He was born October 22, 1955, in Freeport, IL to Francis and Norma (Reuber) Lotta. Leo served in the United States Marine Corps from 1974-1977. After serving in the military Leo returned and worked for the United States Postal Service, Stephenson County Sheriff's Office, Stewart & Associates, and Freeport Park District. Leo also operated Mercury Ballroom. He enjoyed gardening, kayaking, and riding his scooter. Leo was an avid boxing fan.He is survived by his two children Joseph Lotta and Felicia of Freeport; brothers Mark (Corissa) Lotta of Verona, WI, Gene Lotta of Arlington, TX, and LeRoy (Keri) Lotta of Davenport, IA; sister Francine (Tim) Grewe of Portland, OR.; and mother of his son Miriam Alonso of Freeport.Preceding Leo in death are his parents and lifelong friend Terry McKee.Per his request no services will be held. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial has been established for Monroe Hospice.
