Lea Ann Spengler

Lea Ann Spengler, 47, of Freeport, died Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Kindred Hospital in Sycamore. Lea was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan, on October 31, 1967, the daughter of Nicky Gaston. Surviving are father, Melvin (Penny Swift) Schaar of Forreston; son, Greg Spengler of Bloomington, Illinois; daughter, Brenna Gaston of Freeport; two brothers, James (Andrea) Gaston of Texas and Frank Gaston; one sister, Bernadette Schaar. Also surviving are friends, Karen Evans, Betty Stratton and all of Betty's family; four nieces and one great nephew. Lea was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents. A celebration of life will be held 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Thursday May 7, 2015 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston, 203 South 3rd Avenue. A memorial has been established in her memory.
